Panathinaikos hosted a familiar rival in Athens for Round 13 of the EuroLeague — Partizan and coach Zeljko Obradovic. The victory went to the home team with a final score of 91–69.
Fans of the Athens club clearly remember the five EuroLeague titles won when Zeljko Obradovic was the head coach, and they welcomed him with ovations and applause.

Richaul Holmes, Mathias Lessort, Omer Yurtseven, Vassilis Toliopoulos, and Cedi Osman did not play for Panathinaikos. On the Partizan side, Carlik Jones and Mario Nakic were sidelined with injuries, and Arijan Lakic and Mitar Bosnjakovic were also not in the lineup.
In the first quarter, we saw excellent shooting from both teams, with Sterling Brown standing out. He scored 14 points without missing a shot, including 3-of-3 from three-point range, and added a block. Thanks to his performance on the wing, Partizan had a six-point lead at one moment. However, Dinos Mitoglou and Kenneth Faried brought Panathinaikos back into the game, Jerian Grant also played well, and despite almost no defensive commitment from Partizan, the team led 31–27 after ten minutes of action.
Two mistakes by Tyrique Jones and turnovers cost Partizan, as Nikos Rogvakopoulos quickly scored six points, cutting the Athens team’s deficit to just 35–33. Shortly after, Kostas Sloukas tied the game, and Sterling Brown kept adding points. Although Partizan went up 39–35, the opponent responded with a 5–0 run, and after a three-pointer by Kendrick Nunn, Panathinaikos took the lead for the first time in the game at 40–39. They extended the run to 7–0 thanks to Nunn, who played very well, until Shake Milton finally stopped it. Still, the end of the first half was completely dominated by Panathinaikos, as Rogvakopoulos set the halftime score at 48–44, with Partizan missing their chances.

Partizan’s offense was completely shut down by Panathinaikos at the start of the second half. Once again, Kenneth Faried took center stage with two blocks, followed by a dunk and second-chance points after an offensive rebound. Kendrick Nunn added to the momentum, giving his team a 58–50 lead, which forced Zeljko Obradovic to call a timeout.
However, the timeout did not help—right after the break, Nunn knocked down two three-pointers, pushing Panathinaikos to a double-digit advantage. The misery for Partizan continued in the final minutes of the third quarter. Obradovic’s team scored only six points in 10 minutes, and Kostas Sloukas closed the period with a buzzer-beating three-pointer, extending the lead to 73–50 after a stunning 21–0 run.
