Anadolu Efes managed to secure a win on the road against Buyukcekmece after a lot of problems, claiming an 87-85 victory in Round 15 of the Turkish Super League.
In this game, head coach Pablo Laso did not have Georgios Papagiannis, Shane Larkin, and Burak Yildizli available, as they have been sidelined with injuries for some time, while Isaia Cordinier and Vincent Poirier were also unavailable due to minor injuries. Rolands Smits and P.J. Dozier did not play either because of the foreign player limit rule.
When it comes to the course of the game itself, it turned out that Anadolu Efes built the key advantage in the first quarter, which they won 31-18. After that, Buyukcekmece spent the entire game trying to cut into the visitors’ lead. They managed to do so in the final quarter, reaching the tie on two occasions, but they were unable to complete the comeback and take the lead. In the end, Anadolu Efes showed more patience in the closing moments and secured a deserved victory.
