Andrea Trinchieri, the Italian coach, is putting together roster of PAOK, and several high-profile names are expected to wear the black-and-white jersey.
It is no secret that Andrea Trinchieri enjoys tremendous trust from his players, as a coach who consistently convinces them they are capable of performing beyond their perceived limits. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that new signings are excited about joining the Thessaloniki-based club.
The latest addition is RaiQuan Gray, who arrived from AEK and signed a two-year contract with PAOK. The 27-year-old American highlighted Italian coach as one of the main reasons behind his decision to join the club.
“The reason I accepted PAOK’s offer was the opportunity to be part of a new team with a plan and ambition to compete at the highest level, as well as the prospect of working with a truly exceptional coach. I believe I can bring energy and leadership to the team. I can also provide flexibility on both sides of the floor, both offensively and defensively.
The coach simply asked me to be myself. I think he knows very well what I can offer. My ambitions will always be the same: to win. I want to help this club achieve success”, said the player who can cover both the power forward and center positions in an interview with the club’s official website.
PAOK will compete in the Eurocup next season, where the club will attempt to secure a place in the EuroLeague, which is undoubtedly the primary objective for Andrea Trinchieri and his team.
