Andrea Trinchieri is set to take on the role of the new head coach for Zalgiris after several months without a coaching position.
As reported by Donatas Urbonas, a well-known journalist from “Basket News,” Kazys Maksvytis will be stepping down from the position of head coach. The Italian coach is stepping into his shoes after several twists and turns in the narrative over the last two weeks.
Maksvytis was reportedly on the brink of dismissal, which allegedly occurred after Zalgiris’ EuroLeague defeat against Partizan. At that time, the same information was available – Maksvytis OUT, Trinchieri IN.
