It was a first half for the ages for No. 25 Arkansas in the game against No. 6 Louisville in the ACC/SEC Challenge. The Razorbacks did not hold down one bit and were manage to stun the Cardinals with the big win – 89:80!
Razorbacks were on the fly from the first minute on the court last night, managing to score 47 points during the first half of the game. They only allowed Louisville to score 29 on the other end.
That proved decisive, even though Louisville came back with a strong performance in the second half. The Cardinals scored 51 points after the break, but Arkansas refused them a late comeback.

The closest Louisville managed to get in the second half was “minus 5” on two occassions, with one being just two minutes and 48 seconds until the end of the game.
But, Arkansas made 6-0 run led against Louisville by Trevon Brazile, Darius Acuff Jr. and Malique Ewin that definitely put the game to bed. The Razorbacks managed to avoid late drama.
It was Trevon Brazile who led the scoring for the Razorbacks last night with 21 points. He was followed by Meleek Thomas who made 17 points, with Darius Acuff Jr. also grabbing 17, but with 10 assists as well.
On the other side, Louisville depended on Mikel Brown Jr. who made 22 points, while Ryan Conwell scored 15. You can check the complete boxscore here.
This was Louisville’s first loss of the season as they are now down to 7-1. On the other side, Arkansas goes up to 6-2.
