Austin Reaves, the Los Angeles Lakers guard, has signed a new four-year contract with the club.
Austin Reaves had a player option worth $14.9 million for next season, but he declined it and ultimately signed a new contract with the Lakers, a four-year deal.
According to Shams Charania, Austin Reaves has signed a new four-year maximum contract with the Lakers worth $185 million. It is also reported that Reaves will have a player option for the final year of the deal, namely the 2029-30 season.
There had been plenty of speculation for quite some time regarding whether the Lakers would ultimately extend Reaves’ contract, and now we have a definitive answer to that question.
Reaves is coming off a very strong season, without any doubt the best of his career. However, it should also be noted that he had certain injury problems, due to which he played 51 games and ultimately averaged 23.3 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.7 rebounds.
