Barcelona’s roster overhaul has taken another major step forward with the departures of Nicolas Laprovittola and Youssoupha Fall, extending a sweeping squad reset that has now seen multiple exits in a short period and signals a clear new direction for the EuroLeague powerhouse.
Nicolas Laprovittola, who joined Barcelona in 2021 from Real Madrid, was one of the key backcourt figures during his first seasons at the club. He played an important role in Barcelona’s domestic success, including the Liga Endesa title in 2022 and the Spanish Cup in the same year.
However, his last two campaigns were heavily disrupted by injuries, which significantly limited his availability and consistency. During the 2025/26 EuroLeague season, he appeared in around 20 games, averaging 8 points and 3.9 assists per contest, as Barcelona gradually moved toward reshaping its guard rotation.

Youssoupha Fall, meanwhile, spent two seasons in Barcelona in a limited rotation role. In the EuroLeague, he featured in 18 games, averaging 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds, struggling to secure a consistent impact in key moments. His departure is part of a broader frontcourt restructuring as the club looks to refresh its interior rotation and adjust its roster balance ahead of the new season.
These latest exits add to a growing list of departures in recent days, with Myles Cale, Myles Norris, Tomas Satoransky, Willy Hernangomez and Juani Marcos also leaving the club, while Jan Vesely has ended his playing career. The scale of change underlines a significant transition period for Barcelona as it moves away from its previous core and enters a new roster cycle.
Attention is now turning to the next phase of the rebuild, with further roster moves expected and uncertainty surrounding the club’s leadership structure for the upcoming season as Barcelona continues to reshape its long-term project. All Barcelona moves can be read on the EuroLeague Transactions page.
