Nigerian forward Eugene Omoruyi (28) has signed a two-month contract with Baskonia, with an option to extend through the end of the season.
The Spanish club moved quickly to find a temporary replacement for injured team captain Tadas Sedekerskis. Omoruyi will make his European debut, after spending the past years moving between the NBA, the G League, and most recently playing in Dubai.

The forward arrives from Al Nasr (Dubai), where he played this season, and previously spent last year with Raptors 905 in the G League. Omoruyi began his NCAA career at Rutgers and made his NBA debut in the 2021–22 season with the Dallas Mavericks.
In his last G League season, Omoruyi averaged 18.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. Across 87 NBA games with Dallas, Washington, Oklahoma City, and Detroit, he averaged 5.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest.
Omoruyi’s arrival adds athleticism and scoring depth to Baskonia, which looks to maintain competitiveness while Sedekerskis recovers.
