Baskonia completely demolished Granada 121–85 in the Liga Endesa Round 32, continuing their fight for the best possible playoff seeding.
The Vitoria-based side controlled the game from start to finish and never allowed any real suspense against the bottom-placed team in the standings.
In the second game of the night, San Pablo Burgos pulled off a dramatic 85–83 win over Andorra, securing a crucial victory in their battle for survival.
Baskonia dominant from start to finish
Paolo Galbiati’s team set the tone immediately and had already built a double-digit lead by the end of the first quarter (24–14). Granada occasionally managed to cut the deficit, but every time they threatened, Baskonia responded by shifting gears and quickly regaining full control.
The key moment came in the second quarter when Kobi Simmons caught fire, scoring 10 straight points and essentially deciding the game before halftime (53–34). By that point, Baskonia had already built a massive gap and completely broke their opponent’s resistance.
In the second half, the home side only extended their lead further. Simmons was joined by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, while Granada had no answer for Baskonia’s offensive variety or defensive intensity. By the start of the fourth quarter, the game was already effectively over.
Luwawu-Cabarrot led Baskonia with 19 points, followed by Simmons with 18. For Granada, Luka Bozic (24 points) and Amar Alibegovic (19 points) stood out.
Baskonia will host Real Madrid in the next round, but the game has been postponed due to Real’s EuroLeague Final Four participation and will be played in 10 days. Granada will face Tenerife in the penultimate round.
Burgos shock Andorra in the final minute
In the second game, San Pablo Burgos defeated Andorra 85–83 in a dramatic finish to secure an important win in the fight to avoid relegation.
With 1:28 remaining, Andorra led 83–79 and looked in control, but Burgos responded with a 6–0 run, capped by a game-winning basket from Ethan Happ with 9 seconds left.
Happ was Burgos’ standout performer with 19 points and 6 rebounds, while Jermaine Samuels Jr. added 16 points and 5 rebounds. For Andorra, Sir’Jabari Rice, Stanley Okoye, and Aaron Best each scored 13 points.
