Claim Now As the Munich club stated in their announcement, the deal with Jokubaitis is agreed upon until 2028, meaning for three seasons.
Rokas Jokubaitis shared his expectations about the move to Bayern:
“First, I want to thank everyone involved in helping me take the next step in my career. Bayern is a big club that has grown very quickly in basketball. I’ve heard many good things, especially from Oscar da Silva, who is a good friend of mine and helped me with the decision. The coach and management also showed interest in me very early on. I want to take on a lot of responsibility at Bayern and believe in this project. Given how well they played last year, the playoffs are our goal in the EuroLeague, along with winning national titles,” Rokas Jokubaitis said.
During the previous season, Rokas Jokubaitis played 28 EuroLeague games for Maccabi Tel Aviv, averaging 12.6 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.2 rebounds.
Before joining Maccabi Tel Aviv, Jokubaitis played for Barcelona from 2021 to 2024, as well as for Zalgiris from 2017 to 2021.
Before Jokubaitis, Bayern had also brought in Xavier Rathan-Mayes, Wenyen Gabriel, Leon Kratzer, Kamar Baldwin, and Justinian Jessup.
As for departures, the club has so far parted ways with seven players: Shabazz Napier, Carsen Edwards, Devin Booker, Danko Branković, Ivan Kharchenkov, Jack White, and Nick Weiler-Babb.
