Besiktas convincingly won against Esenler Erokspor on the home floor in the 19th round of the Turkish Super League, dominating 88-68.
Besiktas started 2026 with varying success in the Turkish Super League after having thirteen consecutive wins to start the campaign, but now Dusan Alimpijevic‘s team has managed three consecutive wins after previously losing three straight games to Turk Telekom, Fenerbahce and Tofas.
The black and whites from Istanbul did not start the game well, allowing the rival to take an early lead, but they turned the game in their favor by the end of the first quarter, going up 18-15. They continued in the same rhythm in the second quarter and Besiktas constantly increased their advantage, reaching a 43-34 lead at the break between the two halves.
Besiktas broke the game open in the third quarter. With excellent perimeter shooting they went up by as much as 22, and they entered the last period with a 69-51 lead.

The big margin at the start of the last ten minutes led to a slight relaxation, which Alimpijevic did not want to allow his players to have under any circumstances. Esenler Erokspor came close to cutting the lead to single digits, but the home players quickly responded and returned the advantage to the unattainable limits for the guests, to improve their record to 16-3.
The most effective player in the winning team was Conor Morgan with 14 points, while Matt Thomas added 13. In the losing team, Petr Cornelie stood out with 24 points.
Besiktas visit Panionios during the middle of next week, where they will try to win the first place in their group in the EuroCup, while after that they will play against Bursaspor in domestic league play.
