Besiktas strengthened its long-term EuroLeague project on Thursday, locking in four key rotation players while officially adding Furkan Korkmaz to Dusan Alimpijevic’s squad.
Besiktas confirmed the contract extensions of Ante Zizic, Anthony Brown, Berk Ugurlu and Devon Dotson, ensuring stability in the core rotation ahead of the upcoming season.
Zizic, who arrived from Virtus last summer, quickly established himself as a key interior presence, averaging 12.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, making him one of the team’s most reliable contributors in Eurocup.
Brown and Dotson, both added in 2025, also earned new deals after playing important roles in Besiktas’ run to the Turkish Super League and Eurocup finals, averaging 10.6 and 10 points per game respectively.
The headline move of the day, however, is Furkan Korkmaz. The Turkish international and former NBA guard joins Besiktas after finishing last season with Tofas, where he averaged nine points in limited minutes, adding valuable perimeter scoring and reliable three-point shooting to Alimpijevic’s backcourt rotation.

Not every player who helped Besiktas return to the top tier of European basketball will remain with the club. The Black-and-Whites have already confirmed the departures of Brynton Lemar, Yigit Coban, Canberk Kus, Yigit Arslan, Ismael Kamagate and Jonah Mathews.
Since it became official that Besiktas would replace Monaco in the EuroLeague for the 2026/27 season, speculation has intensified over potential arrivals. With several roster spots still to be filled, general manager Nedim Yucel and head coach Dusan Alimpijevic remain active in shaping a squad capable of competing in the EuroLeague, where Besiktas will make its first appearance since the 2012/13 season.
