In the 11th round of the EuroCup, the London Lions defeated Besiktas in a thrilling 98–96 game, while Bahcesehir fell to Venezia 95–85.
The London Lions and Besiktas played a spectacular game. We witnessed a true battle and an incredible thriller. Throughout the match, the score remained tight, often coming down to just a few possessions. At halftime, the score was 43–48.
It all came down to a tense finish and a few decisive possessions. It seemed like it was over for Besiktas, as had happened several times in recent weeks. London held a 3-point lead with only a few seconds remaining. However, Vito Brown drew three free throws and a foul on a three-pointer with 4.6 seconds left. In a heated arena with loud whistles from the crowd, after struggling with free throws throughout the game (2/5), Brown sank all three shots to tie the game. London had a chance for the win on the final possession, but the layup fell short, and we went to overtime.
In overtime, we witnessed the culmination of the battle. Once again, it all came down to a precise and tense finish. Although Jonah Mathews hit an incredible three-pointer in the closing moments, the home team wanted this victory at all costs. They had more energy and focus, and in the end, they prevailed. The key moment came with free throws in less than 2 seconds remaining, which Shavar Reynolds made. After that, there was no coming back for Besiktas.
Shavar Reynolds was the top scorer for the home team with 20 points. Jonathan Williams added 18, while Kameron McGusty contributed 14. For Dusan Alimpijevic’s team, Anthony Brown scored 19 points, and Brynton Lemar added 18.
With this, the Turkish team’s nine-game winning streak across all competitions came to an end. They are now 8–3 in the EuroCup, while the London Lions sit at 5–6.

Bahcesehir fell to visiting Venezia. The home team played strongly and managed to get back into the game after a poor second quarter. During that period, Bahcesehir scored 28 points, compared to 14 by the hosts. However, the third quarter belonged to Venezia, 32–16. That stretch would prove decisive for the outcome of the game. The lead Venezia built during that period could not be overcome by the visiting team.
Malachi Flynn had an excellent game for Bahcesehir, recording 31 points, 4/7 from three, and 12/19 from the field. It seemed that more players in rhythm were needed for Bahcesehir to secure the win, as only Caleb Homesley also scored in double digits with 11 points.
For the home team, Jordan Parks dominated with 30 points, 8 rebounds, 10/15 from the field, and a PIR of 34. He was followed by Ky Bowman with 14 points, while Amedeo Tessitori added 12.
Venezia is now 5–6 in the EuroCup. In the next round, they will face Neptunas. Bahcesehir remains at 7 wins and 4 losses and will play Hamburg in the next EuroCup round.
