Fenerbahce vs Besiktas Preview
Fenerbahce had a very strong regular season and finished as the top-ranked team, which gave them home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. After failing to win the EuroLeague, where they were eliminated in the semifinals by Olympiacos, they shifted all their focus to the Turkish Super League Finals. They entered the series as heavy favorites, and realistically speaking, anything other than winning the title would be considered a major disappointment for the team coached by Sarunas Jasikevicius.
They responded well to their EuroLeague Final Four elimination by quickly taking care of Esenler Erokspor in the quarterfinals with a 2-0 series win. A much tougher challenge followed in the semifinals, where they defeated Anadolu Efes 3-1, although the series score does not fully reflect how difficult it was, as Fenerbahce came back from behind in two of their wins. What could have been a turning point, but was not, was the opening game against Besiktas, where they suffered a home loss 88-80, putting them in a difficult position. In that game, they struggled from the perimeter, with Wade Baldwin scoring 16 points after his 32-point performance against Anadolu Efes in Game 4, shooting 4/9 from the field. Tarik Biberovic added 16 points on 7/12 shooting, while Talen Horton-Tucker finished with just nine points on 3/9 shooting. Nicolo Melli was also ineffective, shooting 2/6, as did Arturs Zagars. Fenerbahce were not at their defensive best in the first game, which is usually their biggest strength not only in Turkey but also in Europe. They shot just 33 percent from three-point range, missed eight free throws, and converted only 28 of 60 possessions, which was not enough against a tough Besiktas team. It is clear they need to improve in every aspect of the game if they want to tie the series and avoid another upset.
Besiktas faced similar challenges. Their opponents also failed to win the EuroLeague and defend their title, while Besiktas fell short in the EuroCup final despite being heavy favorites and having home-court advantage against Bourg, who ultimately won the series 2-0. In the last two seasons, Besiktas had also lost in the Turkish Cup final to Fenerbahce, and they were defeated by the same rival in last year’s final as well, which gives them extra motivation.
Despite injuries and absences, they showed their determination in Game 1 by winning 88-80 after a brilliant performance and an unexpected hero. That hero was Berk Ugurlu, who played his best game of the season at the most important moment, scoring 20 points on an excellent 8/10 shooting. He compensated for weaker performances from some teammates who were expected to lead the team. Devon Dotson shot 2/8 but added eight assists, Jonah Mathews finished with nine points on 4/7 shooting, and Yigit Arslan shot 4/11. It is also important to note that Brynton Lemar, Ante Zizic, and Ismael Kamagate did not play. Despite all these issues, Besiktas still managed to win, which should give them confidence moving forward, as they can certainly play better than this. They defeated Galatasaray 2-1 in the quarterfinals and then made a big comeback against Bahcesehir, winning 3-2 after trailing 2-1. That shows they have nothing to lose in this final and will leave everything on the court in their attempt to finally win the title. The only question is whether their maximum level is enough against Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce vs Besiktas H2H
Fenerbahce leads 3-2 in the head-to-head record this season against Besiktas. In Game 1 of the finals series, Besiktas pulled off a major surprise and took a 1-0 lead after an 88-80 victory.
Injuries and Suspensions
Jilson Bango is injured for Fenerbahce. Brynton Lemar, Ante Zizic, and Ismael Kamagate all missed the first game of the series, and there is a possibility that one of them, especially Brynton Lemar, could return for Game 2.

Fenerbahce vs Besiktas Best Betting Tip and Prediction
Fenerbahce simply have no room for another slip-up. If they lose a second straight game at home, their title defense would be hanging by a thread. Besiktas will be highly motivated to take a 2-0 lead, but the talent gap clearly favors the hosts. We expect Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team to once again show why they have dominated Turkish basketball for the past three years.
