Baskonia have officially parted ways with five first-team players: Trent Forrest, Markquis Nowell, Eugene Omoruyi, Gytis Radzevicius and Jesse Edwards.
As with most EuroLeague teams, Baskonia will undergo significant roster changes, with some departures being fully expected. Trent Forrest was the team’s leader throughout the season, averaging 10.9 points and 4.4 assists per game in the EuroLeague, and he is reportedly set to become a new player for Fenerbahçe.
Eugene Omoruyi also delivered solid performances in his debut season in Europe, and he has been linked with Partizan for some time, as first reported by Basketball Sphere.
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot’s next destination is still unknown, although ASVEL are reportedly interested in his services, while Baskonia have secured the continuation of Kobi Simmons.
