Montenegrin basketball player Bojan Dubljevic has ended his professional basketball career at the age of 34.
The experienced center last played for Zaragoza, where he helped the team secure survival in Spain’s Liga Endesa, after which he decided to retire from professional basketball.
Throughout his successful career, he played for Lovcen, Buducnost, Valencia, Zenit, and Zaragoza. With Buducnost, he won two domestic doubles, while he made his biggest impact at Valencia, where he spent 11 seasons. With the Spanish club, he won two EuroCup titles and the Spanish championship in 2017, when he also earned MVP honors.
Bojan Dubljevic was a long-time member of the Montenegro national team. He appeared in three EuroBasket tournaments and two FIBA World Cups, and as captain he led the national team at the 2019 World Cup in China, the first World Cup appearance in Montenegro’s basketball history.
In the 2013 NBA Draft, he was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 59th overall pick, but he never played in the NBA.
