It’s the end of the unbeaten run for No. 7 Michigan State, as No. 4 Duke managed to escape with a dramatic win over the Spartans, with Caleb Foster proving to be decisive in the last minutes – 66:60!
It was tense until the very end of the game. Neither of the teams could get away, so the neutral viewers in particular got everything they were looking for tonight.

Statistically, there wasn’t much to seperate the two teams. Like the coaches sometimes say, it were those little things in the end that decided the winner.
Michigan State was up by three points at the beginning of the second half. It was a real rollercoaster after the break as well, with teams exchanging leads.
Caleb Foster showed up for Duke against Michigan State when needed
It was completely level with two minutes remaining after the two free-throws made by Jeremy Fears Jr. But, after that, Duke went on a 5-0 run.
Cameron Boozer scored two free-throws, before Isiah Evans was fouled on a three-point attempt by Jordan Scott. He scored all three free-throws as well.
Michigan State Spartans managed to bounce back against Duke Blue Devils with a layup by Carson Cooper just 12 seconds later.
But, Caleb Foster scored a three pointer after he missed one shot, to secure the win for the Blue Devils. Michigan State tried to get back, but Foster was confident at the free-throw line as well in the next seconds.
Even though he decided the game, Foster wasn’t the most efficient for Duke. It was Cameron Boozer who made 18 points with 15 rebounds. Caleb was there with 12 points, while Nikolas Khamenia made 10 points with 9 rebounds.
As for Michigan State, Carson Cooper scored 16 points with 16 rebounds. Jaxon Kohler followed with 14 points and 7 rebounds. You can check the boxscore here.
This means that Michigan State now has a 8-1 record, while Duke remains unbeaten and is at 10-0 to start the season.
