Chalon/Saone vs Limoges – Preview & Prediction (Mar. 13, 2026)

Chalon/Saone definitely remembers better days this season. The team has been in a serious drop in form recently, which is clearly reflected in their results. In the last eight games they have recorded only one victory. That win came in the FIBA Champions League when they defeated Joventut. They also paid the price for poor performances in the French Cup, where they were eliminated by Hyeres-Toulon. In the domestic league they currently share ninth and tenth place with a record of nine wins and 12 losses. Considering that Nancy and Boulazac, who sit in 11th and 12th place, have only one win fewer, it is clear that a big battle for a play-in spot awaits them until the end of the regular season.

In the last two games before this matchup, Chalon/Saone did not look good on the court either. First they were routinely defeated by Nancy 102–80, and then in the game leading into this one they lost at home to Unicaja 70–80. It was clear they were big underdogs in that matchup, but they generally offered good resistance during the first half. However, Limoges responded with excellent play in the second and third quarters. They stabilized defensively and managed to tie the game heading into the final period. In the last quarter Paris stepped up defensively and ultimately secured the win, leaving Limoges with something to regret. Frank Mason, Gavin Ware, and Hugo Invernizzi each scored 12 points.

Chalon/Saone enters this game as the clear favorite. It is true that they have not looked good in recent games and are currently experiencing a dip in form. However, they are a team that has already shown quality throughout the season, both collectively and individually.
