Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic delivered a historic performance on the night between Thursday and Friday.
Every year, the NBA brings spectacular games on Christmas, and “spectacular” is an understatement for what Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets put on.
The Colorado team defeated their opponent 142-138, with Nikola Jokic scoring 56 points (15/21 from the field, 4/6 from three), along with 16 rebounds and 15 assists!
The Serbian center’s “monster” performance secured the Nuggets a victory in overtime, in which he alone scored 18 points!
That is the highest number of points scored by a player in a single NBA overtime in history.

According to Real Sport, this performance by Nikola Jokic received a rating of 10.7, marking it as the best game of his career. He shot 15/21 from the field, 4/6 from three, and 22/23 from the free-throw line—MVP mode.
Jokic also became only the third player in NBA history to record more than one triple-double on Christmas, joining Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook on that exclusive list.
NBA legend and one of the best power forwards of all time, Charles Barkley, did not hide his excitement over the Denver Nuggets center’s performance.
“Watching Nikola Jokic play basketball is an honor and a privilege,” said Barkley.
