The Charlotte Hornets have been doing a phenomenal job lately. The team has managed to further strengthen its roster ahead of the most important challenges, bringing in Coby White. The former Chicago Bulls player will undoubtedly be a major addition, considering he has had a more than solid season, averaging over 18 points per game with his previous team, which clearly shows the quality he brings. In addition, it should be noted that the Charlotte Hornets are generally in excellent form. They have recorded nine wins in their last nine games, taking advantage of a slightly easier schedule in recent weeks. As a result, they have climbed to 10th place in the Eastern Conference, currently holding a record of 25 wins and 28 losses. Interestingly, the Atlanta Hawks in ninth place are only one win ahead, but with one game more played, so the Hornets definitely have something to fight for.

The most recent win in this streak came against a direct rival – the Atlanta Hawks. In that game, the Hornets justified their role as favorites and secured a relatively routine victory with a score of 119–126. To be fair, they did not start the game particularly well, especially on the defensive end, allowing 35 points in the first 12 minutes. However, defense is generally not the strongest aspect of the Charlotte Hornets, so it was necessary for them to establish the right offensive rhythm. That happened during the second and third quarters, when they built a more noticeable lead. From the end of the third quarter onward, they controlled the game and closed it out routinely. Miles Bridges was the most efficient player on the team with 26 points. Kon Knueppel added 23 points along with eight rebounds and four assists, while LaMelo Ball once again contributed with 19 points and nine assists.

The Detroit Pistons are continuing an extremely dominant season. What is important to highlight is that the team will be stronger in the remainder of the season with the addition of Kevin Huerter. Since many analysts pointed out shooting as their main weakness, it is clear that this addition represents a big upgrade. On the other side, Jaden Ivey left the team as part of that trade. Looking at recent results, the only loss in their last five games came against the Washington Wizards at home, where they lost 117–126, which was certainly a big surprise. Despite that, they remain by far the best team in the Eastern Conference. They are currently in first place with a record of 38 wins and 13 losses, while second- and third-placed Boston Celtics and New York Knicks have four fewer wins and two more games played.

Based on all of this, it seems almost impossible that the Detroit Pistons will not finish the regular season in first place. The standings are supported by their most recent game as well. At home, they demolished the New York Knicks, defeating them 118–80. Although they were considered favorites before the game, a more competitive performance from the visitors was expected. However, already in the first half it was clear which direction the game would take. By halftime, the Pistons held a 21-point lead, scoring 63 points in the first half alone. The dominance continued in the second half, and after 48 minutes the scoreboard showed a +38 margin for the Detroit Pistons. Daniss Jenkins led the way with 18 points, while Tobias Harris added 15 points and six rebounds.
