Barcelona won the Catalan League against Lleida with a 96-87 victory during their preseason preparations, but an injury to one of their key players ahead of the upcoming season has shaken the team.
In the third quarter, Barcelona lost Dario Brizuela, who went down after sustaining a right leg injury. He had to leave the floor helped by his teammates and the medical staff, as he was unable to put any weight on his leg.
Before exiting the game, Brizuela spent 15 minutes on the court, scoring 5 points and grabbing 4 rebounds.
The Spanish guard started the game alongside Justin Robinson, Stanley Umude, Joel Parra, and Josh Nebo.

In the semifinal against Andorra, Brizuela led the Catalan side with 19 points, but he didn’t get the chance to replicate that against Lleida due to the injury.
Official updates from Barcelona regarding the severity of the injury and how long the 31-year-old will be sidelined are still pending.
Barcelona opens the new season next weekend in the Spanish Supercup with a semifinal clash against Valencia, and they could be significantly depleted for that matchup.
Just a few days ago, newcomer Yoan Makoundou suffered an injury that will keep him out for six weeks, while Tosan Evbuomwan will also miss the game due to a shoulder injury.
