Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers Preview
The Denver Nuggets have shown both highs and lows in this playoff series, making the outcome largely dependent on which version of the team shows up. Looking at the series as a whole, it is clear that only Nikola Jokic has been consistently excellent. Even in Game 3, where the team completely collapsed, the MVP candidate recorded a triple-double and lost his temper, but after four games, the Nuggets can still be satisfied. They managed to bring the series back to Colorado tied at 2-2, which was the main goal after splitting the first two games in Denver.
Game 4 was nothing short of phenomenal — not only in terms of basketball, but also emotionally, as at one point it almost escalated into a serious fight. James Harden initiated the incident by trying to hit Aaron Gordon, but Ivica Zubac grabbed Gordon and likely saved him from a heavy suspension. In the end, it was Gordon who became the hero, slamming in a dunk off Jokic’s missed shot to seal the win. Jokic once again delivered a historic performance, taking responsibility, attempting more shots than usual (14/25), and finishing the game with 36 points, 21 rebounds, and 8 assists — the first player in NBA playoff history to post such numbers. The biggest issue for Denver remains the lack of contribution from the bench. Every starter logged at least 42 minutes, and that was without the injured Russell Westbrook. Jamal Murray posted a solid 17-7-7 line, but his 5-for-17 shooting night confirmed that he is still far from his best form.
Compared to the Nuggets, the Los Angeles Clippers arguably have more reasons to feel frustrated that the series is tied at 2-2. They blew a 15-point lead in Game 1, saw Kawhi Leonard score 39 points on 80% shooting in Game 2, dominated Game 3, and then lost Game 4 at the buzzer on their home court. In a way, the 2-2 score feels like a “false tie,” as the Clippers have looked like the more complete team over the course of the series. Their response in Game 5 will be critical, especially mentally, as another heartbreaking close loss could seriously impact their confidence moving forward.
While the Nuggets struggle with minimal bench production, the Clippers’ second unit hasn’t been quite as poor, but they are still missing “that extra spark.” It’s not just about scoring; the defensive intensity drops as well. Kawhi Leonard is playing arguably his best basketball of the season, leading the team alongside James Harden. Another name that deserves more credit is Ivica Zubac. His battles with Jokic in the paint are fierce — even though he cannot really stop Jokic, Zubac holds his own defensively and remains highly effective offensively. He leads the league in hook shots made this season and is a true throwback “old school” center. Norman Powell, who was the team’s leading scorer off the bench during the regular season, has been inconsistent in the playoffs. In the last game, the Clippers lost by one possession. Nicolas Batum shot just 1-for-6, and Kris Dunn an even worse 1-for-9 — most of those looks were wide open, as the Nuggets’ defense deliberately left them alone. It’s clear that bench players must drastically improve their shooting percentages; otherwise, the Clippers are likely to face the same scenario again, with only the final outcome in question.
Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers H2H
During the regular season, the two teams faced each other four times, with each side winning two games. In this playoff series, after four games, the score is once again tied at 2-2. The last game in Los Angeles, before the series shifts to Colorado, was won by the Denver Nuggets with a final score of 101-99.
Injuries and Suspensions
Seth Lundy will not play for the Los Angeles Clippers, while DaRon Holmes is out for the Denver Nuggets. Russell Westbrook is also listed as questionable for this game, as he missed the previous matchup due to a foot injury.

Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers Best Betting Tip and Prediction
What we have seen so far in this series has undoubtedly been a spectacle, with everything — except for Game 3 where the Denver Nuggets simply collapsed — being decided in the final moments. Offensive efficiency has been questionable, with both teams playing very aggressively on defense. In that sense, the Los Angeles Clippers have managed to impose their rhythm, especially on the defensive end. The first game ended 98-98 and was decided only after overtime. The second game finished 105-102, the third saw a blowout at 117-83, and the fourth ended 101-99. This shows a clear trend: it has been extremely difficult for either team to reach triple digits in scoring. We expect another tight contest, with both teams likely once again falling short of the set points total.
