Phoenix Suns player Dillon Brooks made a very controversial statement to the media, saying that LeBron James is overrated.
Dillon Brooks and LeBron James have had intense physical one-on-one battles for years, with many provocations on both sides.
Now, after LeBron, at 41 years of age, is averaging 22 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game, Brooks said:
“I’ll probably say LeBron right now. I feel like he’s overrated right now. I feel like his time is coming to an end. He’s gotta pass that on to one of our world guys, like Luka [Doncic] or Shai [Gilgeous-Alexander], or me.” Brooks stated Clutch Points reported.
However, Brooks did acknowledge James as “one of the legends,” saying:
“One of the legends. You gotta respect him in that aspect (putting in the work) for sure.”
This season, Dillon Brooks is averaging 21.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, and is one of the key players for the Phoenix Suns.
