“I would like to congratulate my team and thank the fans who came here to support us. I think we especially deserved the win, given that we were consistently strong offensively, with good ideas, clear execution, and effective game management. Defensively, we played very well in the second half, and the third quarter gave us a real boost, allowing us to fully understand how to use our defensive weapons. When the team defense functions as it should, we can really succeed.”
“This was a pinnacle team win where everybody contributed. We are happy that we fulfilled the challenge on the road against a very experienced and talented team that is well coached. We keep learning and competing at the highest level. We must stay humble and continue to navigate this long season like a marathon.” – Itoudis said.
“We did not have the kind of preseason we wanted. We used the Supercup games to prepare and get ourselves ready. In the Israeli League, we play with only four foreign players, but we are finding ways to adjust both offensively and defensively. I hope you agree with me, because what we are showing looks promising.”
The reporter asked if they already look good enough to reach the Final Four:
“Thank you for the congratulations and for that analysis. I have been in this for a long, long time, and in the EuroLeague long enough to know that this is a very, very long season, and we have a new team. We love each other, we have a healthy locker room, and everyone contributes. We are building good friendships and chemistry so we can handle all challenges as well as possible — in wins and in losses.”
“I like your point of view, but I cannot fully agree with it yet — not even the first part of the season is over, and we have not played against everyone. I must say something very important. We are not rushing anywhere; we live in the present moment. I have to point out that the fact we practically live on airplanes affects us. We play in Sofia, even though our home court is in Israel. We are constantly traveling.
After the November 12 game against Baskonia, we started a trip that lasts 13 days. We went to Munich, Tel Aviv, Milan, Tel Aviv again, Sofia. We live on a plane — it is not easy. I want to congratulate the doctors and everyone in the club, because for us, every game is a challenge. What I am seeing from the players in practices and behind closed doors, that is positive. We have built a team that functions well with a mix of talent, youth, experience, and a desire to win.” said Dimitris Itoudis.
