Dubai announced that it has extended contracts with three of its key players: Klemen Prepelic, Davis Bertans and Nemanja Dangubic.
Team captain Klemen Prepelic, Latvian sharpshooter Davis Bertans, and EuroLeague veteran Nemanja Dangubic joined the club ahead of its debut 2024/25 season and will remain part of the roster as the team continues competing on the European stage.
Claim Now Slovenian guard and team captain Klemen Prepelic has been at the heart of Dubai’s identity since day one, making 73 appearances since his debut in the 2024/25 season in the ABA League. Davis Bertans, who arrived from the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets and quickly earned the nickname “The Latvian Laser,” has made 56 appearances for Dubai and was named vice-captain, while the trio is completed by Serbian forward Nemanja Dangubic, who brought more than a decade of EuroLeague experience to the team.
“Together, Klemen Prepelic, Davis Bertans, and Nemanja Dangubic represent the backbone of Dubai’s founding era. They were the first to represent the city in European competitions, the first to lead the team to the ABA League semifinals, and the first to step onto the EuroLeague stage.
Their contract extensions confirm a shared commitment to building on the history they helped write — and to continuing to shape what lies ahead,” the club said in a statement.

The UAE licensed its first online sportsbook in December 2025, and none of the offshore books most guides list is among the licensed. I set out both sides on my page for betting sites in the UAE.
