The 27-year-old was one of the top performers in the EuroCup last season, averaging 15.4 points and 9 rebounds across 18 games. He also posted impressive numbers in the Serie A, putting up 15.1 points and 9.9 rebounds over 35 appearances.
Throughout his career, Kabengele has suited up for Venezia, AEK Athens, and several NBA teams including the Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Clippers.
He becomes Dubai’s eighth signing of the summer. Prior to him, the club had already added Dzanan Musa, Aleksa Avramovic, Kenan Kamenjas, McKinley Wright, Justin Anderson, Mam Jaiteh, and Dwayne Bacon.
It should also be noted that a large number of players have left Dubai this summer: Leon Radosevic, JaCorey Williams, Jerry Boutsiele, Aleksa Uskokovic, Isaiah Taylor, and Ahmet Duverioglu.
