Dubai captured the ABA League title after defeating Partizan 3-1 in the Finals, sealing the championship with an 83-81 win in Game 4.
Unlike the previous game, Dubai entered this contest with significantly more energy. Despite the absence of suspended Dwayne Bacon, McKinley Wright was particularly inspired, while Justin Anderson also made an early impact as the visitors raced to an 11-2 lead. Partizan responded quickly, finding better ball movement and offensive rhythm before Dylan Osetkowski completed the turnaround at 21-20. However, Dubai finished the opening quarter stronger and took a 23-21 advantage into the second period.
The second quarter followed a similar pattern. Dubai repeatedly attempted to create separation, while Partizan answered with timely runs of their own. Still, the hosts struggled to establish consistent control. Their defensive transition issues continued to be a major problem, allowing Dubai to maintain a narrow edge and enter halftime ahead 40-39.
The third quarter lacked offensive flow on both sides. Each team had its moments, and Partizan even built a three-point lead, appearing ready to raise its level. However, Dzanan Musa responded with several key three-pointers to keep Dubai in front. It was not Duane Washington‘s night, as the guard struggled throughout the game, making life easier for the visitors. As a result, Dubai carried a slim 60-59 lead into the final 10 minutes.
Aleksa Avramovic then sparked Dubai’s decisive run, helping the visitors extend their lead to 67-61. Partizan once again looked stagnant offensively, although they never stopped fighting. Even with Dubai consistently staying one step ahead, the game headed toward a dramatic finish. Sterling Brown knocked down a three-pointer to tie the score at 79-79 with roughly 100 seconds remaining, making it clear that the outcome would be decided by the smallest details.
In the closing moments, with the score tied at 81-81, Avramovic entered the game for the injured Mfiondu Kabengele and calmly converted both free throws. On the other end, Carlik Jones missed a potential game-tying shot, sparking celebrations for Dubai, which secured the first championship in club history.
Avramovic led the winners with 15 points, while Kabengele added 14. Isaac Bonga paced Partizan with 16 points.
