They do, however, need to improve their three-point shooting, as they are the third least accurate team in the league despite attempting the fifth most shots from beyond the arc. For now, defense is the stronger part of their game: they hold the fourth-best defensive rating in the league and allow the third fewest points per game. However, with so much experience and offensive talent on this roster, it seems only a matter of time before Esenler Erokspor also unlocks its full potential on the offensive end.
Turk Telekom, meanwhile, has been in outstanding form recently. Over their last 13 games, they’ve recorded 11 wins, with their only losses in that span coming against strong teams — Fenerbahce and Besiktas. In their last two games, they beat Buyukcekmece at home 89–82, and then defeated Chemnitz on the road in dominant fashion, 87–63. In the Turkish Super League, Turk Telekom currently sits in eighth place with a 5–4 record.
The margins by which Turk Telekom has been winning lately are particularly impressive. It is also notable that many of these victories came on the road, showing that they do not depend heavily on home-court advantage but rather have the composure and quality to play well away from home. In domestic league play, they have won four straight games and six of their last seven. Turk Telekom is led by its backcourt duo, Kyle Allman and Jaleen Smith, but Erdem Can has several capable contributors — six players currently average double figures in the Turkish Super League. They rank as the third-best offense and the third-best defense in the league, and if they maintain this level, there is no doubt they will continue the strong run of results that has defined their recent form.
