The EuroLeague is set to become significantly more accessible to basketball fans in France after reaching a new broadcasting agreement with beIN SPORTS.
The partnership will cover the 2026-27 season and will make EuroLeague games available to viewers in France, Monaco, Andorra and French overseas territories.
Under the agreement, beIN SPORTS will broadcast three games per round, including the games played by Asvel and Paris, as well as another featured matchup.
The partnership will begin with the EuroLeague Super Cup on September 18 and 19, when beIN SPORTS will show both semifinals and the final.
EuroLeague welcomes beIN SPORTS partnership
EuroLeague Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Alex Ferrer Kristjansson welcomed the agreement and highlighted the importance of expanding the competition’s reach in France.
“We are delighted to have beIN as our partner in France. The agreement represents an important step in bringing EuroLeague to fans in France.
This broadcaster has a strong presence in the world of sports and will help us expand our audience while offering fans access to the passion, excitement and quality that this competition brings.”
The agreement comes at an important time for basketball broadcasting in France, where securing reliable television partners has become increasingly difficult.
Important development for French basketball
In recent seasons, French basketball has experienced significant uncertainty surrounding its broadcasting rights.
SKWEEK previously held the rights to both the EuroLeague and the French domestic championship, but the partnership eventually ended after the platform encountered financial difficulties.
The domestic league has also faced problems finding a stable television partner, with much of the competition previously being distributed through streaming and satellite platforms.
That makes the arrival of beIN SPORTS particularly significant.
beIN SPORTS adds EuroLeague to major sports portfolio
The agreement also gives EuroLeague a place alongside some of the biggest sports properties already carried by beIN SPORTS.
The broadcaster’s French offering includes Wimbledon, the NFL, NBA, Bundesliga football and the Coupe de France, among other competitions.
EuroLeague will now join that portfolio, giving the competition another major platform in one of Europe’s most important basketball markets.
With Asvel and Paris both competing in the EuroLeague, the new partnership should also provide greater exposure to the two French clubs and help strengthen the competition’s connection with basketball fans across the country.
