There have been major changes to rosters of EuroLeague teams over the summer, which naturally raises the question of how they will affect the Fantasy production of some of the biggest stars. Players who had huge roles last season could see their production decline this year, whether due to age or increased competition at their positions.
That is why we have picked out several big names who have a realistic chance of seeing a drop in production this season.
1. Kostas Sloukas – Guard – 10.7 credits
Over the summer, Panathinaikos assembled a true super team in Athens, signaling their immense ambition for the upcoming EuroLeague campaign. At the helm of this ambitious project is Zeljko Obradovic, Europe’s most decorated coach, whose arrival alone elevates expectations to a championship level. With elite talent brought together under a master tactician, the club is positioning itself as a dominant force capable of contending on all fronts.
The Panathinaikos backcourt underwent significant reshaping during the offseason, marked notably by the departure of T.J. Shorts. To compensate for his absence and elevate the squad’s dynamic potential, EuroLeague stars Sylvain Francisco and Brancou Badio were brought into the fold. Their presence creates a deep, versatile guard rotation where playing time will be fiercely contested every single night.
Given such fierce competition for minutes, it is difficult to expect veteran Kostas Sloukas to command a major role on the court this season. He will most likely spend much of the campaign acting in a supporting capacity, mentoring the younger players and offering veteran leadership. Taking that reduced usage into account, his fantasy price tag of 10.7 credits seems far too high for managers to justify.
2. Facundo Campazzo – Guard – 13.7 credits
Facundo Campazzo remains an experienced EuroLeague veteran having turned 35 this year. While virtually every club across the continent would still welcome a point guard of his caliber with open arms, the arrival of younger, high-caliber talent creates a new dynamic at Real Madrid.
His overall influence on the team’s engine showed subtle signs of decline last season, and that trend is widely expected to continue. The roster features two exceptionally bright backcourt talents in Andres Feliz and Theo Maledon, both of whom are positioned to command larger roles and push for heavy minutes.
With his expected reduction in usage and court time under Pedro Martinez, a fantasy valuation of 13.7 credits seems heavily inflated. Steering clear of him in fantasy lineups appears to be the safest move this season.
3. Will Clyburn – Forward – 12.4 credits
Like those mentioned before him, Will Clyburn stands as one of the established greats of the EuroLeague. The 36-year-old veteran made the move from Barcelona to Istanbul this summer, officially signing with Fenerbahce.
While his extensive big-game experience will undoubtedly bolster the team’s overall depth, he is no longer projected to be a primary focal point or assume a central leadership role.
Fenerbahce have constructed an exceptionally deep and talented roster for the upcoming campaign, meaning internal competition for rotational minutes will be fierce. With so many high-caliber options sharing the court, Clyburn’s individual usage and floor time are bound to take a noticeable hit.
Considering those factors, his price tag of 12.4 credits feels far too steep for what his actual court production is likely to yield. Leaving him off your fantasy roster is the smartest path to take this season.
4. Nikola Milutinov – Center – 15.3 credits
The second-most expensive center in the game, Nikola Milutinov has been one of Olympiacos’ primary pillars inside the paint for years alongside Sasha Vezenkov. The Greek powerhouse features what is arguably the most formidable center rotation in the entire league, stacked with Milutinov, Donta Hall, and Tyrique Jones. Head coach Georgios Bartzokas faces a complex puzzle when it comes to balancing playing time and keeping all three big men engaged.
Because of that crowded frontcourt, it is difficult to imagine Milutinov consistently logging more than 20 minutes per game. His raw efficiency and rebounding prowess remain undeniable, but a strict time-share will directly limit his statistical ceiling on a game-to-game basis.
When factoring in those structural limitations, spending 15.3 credits on a center with restricted minutes feels like an unnecessary risk. Leaving him out of your Fantasy roster is the most logical strategy to start the season.
5. Filip Petrusev – Forward – 12.7 credits
Filip Petrusev emerged as one of Dubai’s standout players during the first half of their debut EuroLeague season, delivering impressive numbers and anchoring the frontcourt. However, because of injury woes, his overall role and production took a sharp decline in the second half, leaving his standing within the squad’s core rotation in question.
To make matters more challenging, Dubai went on an aggressive summer shopping spree, bringing in three elite EuroLeague players at his exact position: Tornike Shengelia, Mamadi Diakite, and Jaron Blossomgame. This influx of high-caliber talent creates an extraordinarily crowded power forward depth chart, severely limiting his path to meaningful floor time.
Given the intense internal competition, earning consistent minutes will be an uphill battle, making a potential change of scenery the most logical move for his career development. With his usage set to drop dramatically, his 12.7 credit valuation is drastically inflated, making him an easy pass for Fantasy managers this season.
