Kenneth Faried, the Panathinaikos big man, has officially been named MVP for the month of November in the EuroLeague for his great play.
Kenneth Faried has immediately come in and made a big impact for Panathinaikos, with the Greek side winning four EuroLeague games in a row since his arrival, against Paris, Real Madrid, Dubai and Partizan respectively. The 36-year-old American center has fit into the playing style of head coach Ergin Ataman like a glove, averaging 13.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and two blocks per game in the month and replacing the injured Mathias Lessort better than anybody could have hoped for. Considering all this, the center has been rewarded for his rim-running, dunking and energy with this award.

“I didn’t know what to expect when I signed, but suddenly I found myself playing and not just playing, but being in the starting five and helping significantly. The chemistry was there right away, from day one. I met Ergin Ataman on the court, before the first practice, and told him: Finally, I meet you. He replied that he felt the energy too. It was like I had been on the team for years.” – stated Faried.
Faried became the eighth Panathinaikos player to win this award after Jaka Lakovic, Mike Batiste, Ramonas Siskauskas, Dimitris Diamantidis, Chris Singleton, Nick Calathes and Kendrick Nunn.
The former NBA big man will have a chance to continue his excellent form for Panathinaikos in the EuroLeague against Valencia in Round 14, as the Greek side await the Spanish team at home on December 5th.
