Fenerbahce’s basketball department finished the 2025-26 season with a significantly better financial result than initially expected, recording a profit of approximately €3.77 million.
According to financial figures shared by Souvess, the Turkish club’s men’s basketball section exceeded its original projections after generating higher-than-expected revenue throughout the campaign.
The final result represents a major turnaround compared to the club’s initial expectations, which predicted a financial loss before the season began.
Fenerbahce exceeded revenue expectations
Fenerbahce’s men’s basketball team generated approximately €39.92 million in revenue during the 2025-26 season.
The number was significantly higher than the originally projected income of €28.81 million.
At the same time, the club recorded expenses of around €36.15 million, slightly above the initial budget of €34.53 million.
The combination of increased revenue and controlled spending allowed Fenerbahce to finish the season with a positive financial balance.
From expected loss to €3.77 million profit
Before the season started, Fenerbahce expected its basketball operations to finish with a loss of approximately €5.72 million.
However, the final numbers showed a completely different picture.
Instead of losing money, the Turkish powerhouse finished the campaign with a profit of approximately €3.77 million, creating a positive difference of nearly €9.49 million compared to the original budget projection.
The financial improvement highlights the club’s strong commercial performance and successful management of its basketball operations.
Fenerbahce maintain major ambitions for 2026-27 season
Despite the financial success, Fenerbahce are preparing to maintain a similar level of investment in their roster.
According to Donatas Urbonas, the Turkish champions spent around €17 million on player salaries last season, and that figure is expected to remain close to the same level for the upcoming campaign.
Fenerbahce have already completed their roster construction for the 2026-27 season, with Johnny Juzang becoming the final addition to a busy offseason.
The club made significant changes, bringing in nine new players while saying goodbye to 11 members of last season’s squad.
Even with major roster changes, Fenerbahce are keeping their financial structure stable while continuing to compete among the biggest clubs in European basketball. All Fenerbahce roster moves can be followed on the EuroLeague Transactions tracker.
