Fenerbahce unexpectedly defeated Paris easily at home with a 89-72 scoreline in Game 2 of their EuroLeague quarterfinal series, taking a 2-0 lead in the series.
Scottie Wilbekin was unavailable for coach Sarunas Jasikevicius for this game, while Paris was without Daulton Hommes and Maodo Lo.
Fenerbahce entered this game much differently compared to Game 1 of the series. They played with much more energy, especially on defense, and it was clear they were ready for everything Paris could offer. Offensively, their three-point shooting was on point, with five different players hitting from beyond the arc in the first quarter. Nigel Hayes-Davis appeared far more focused than in the first game, leading the team with seven points in the first period, which Fenerbahce won 29-20.
In the second quarter, there was only one team on the floor. Sarunas Jasikevicius’ squad was brilliant during this period, with Wade Baldwin and Tarik Biberovic leading the way. Paris managed to stay close at 42-36, but then a 19-2 run from the hosts likely sealed the game. The first half ended with Hayes-Davis drawing a foul on a three-point attempt and converting all three free throws, sending Fenerbahce to the locker room with a 61-38 lead, making it clear they would travel to France with a 2-0 advantage.
Nothing significantly changed in the second half, as the Istanbul powerhouse had no trouble maintaining control of the game and fending off every attempt by Paris to mount a comeback. However, the main talking point of the second half—and certainly a cause for concern for Sarunas Jasikevicius—is the foot injury sustained by Nicolo Melli early in the final quarter. The Italian immediately left the court and did not return for the remainder of the game. In the end, Fenerbahce deservedly and routinely defeated Paris, marking their fourth win over them this season.

The top scorer for the winning team was Tarik Biberovic with 19 points, while Nigel Hayes-Davis added 16. Serbian national team member Marko Guduric also played a notable role, contributing 13 points.
For Paris, T.J. Shorts led the way with 18 points, followed by Nadir Hifi with 15. The only other player to score in double digits for the visiting team was Tyson Ward, who finished with 10 points.
The next game between these two teams will take place on Tuesday, April 29, at 8:30 PM, with Paris hosting the match.
