Paris will attempt to extend its participation in this year’s EuroLeague on Tuesday, starting at 8:30 PM, when they host Fenerbahce on their home court.
Paris will face Fenerbahce, who currently lead the series 2-0 and are just one win away from reaching the Final Four.
However, the coach of the Istanbul powerhouse, Sarunas Jasikevicius, is facing serious problems ahead of the third game of the series, as it is still unclear whether he will be able to count on two of his big men — Sertac Sanli and Nicolo Melli, according to Sportando.
Both players were injured during the second game of the series. The Turkish center spent only two minutes on the court before suffering a serious collision with a Paris player, after which he stayed on the floor for a while and did not return to the game.
On the other hand, Nicolo Melli sustained his injury when the match was already decided, with his team holding a large lead. He injured his foot, and it was immediately clear that the injury was quite serious.
It’s obvious that the Lithuanian coach would be in big trouble if neither of the two players is able to play in the upcoming game, as he would be significantly weakened at the center position. Currently, Khem Birch and Jilson Bango are available, but neither of them is in good form and both have seen very limited minutes recently.
