Devon Hall and Brandon Boston Jr will be in Fenerbahce’s lineup for EuroLeague Round 26, with Scottie Wilbekin also making his return.
After missing last round and the game against Anadolu Efes, Devon Hall will be in the lineup for Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team tomorrow. In addition, Brendon Boston Jr will be playing after missing three rounds. With Scottie Wilbekin also returning, it’s clear: big news and a strengthened backcourt for coach Sarunas.
Wilbekin returned over the weekend in a Turkish Super League game after three months of recovery from a knee injury. He had a modest performance against Karsiyaka, recording no points, but it’s clear he’ll need some time to regain full competitive rhythm. Even before this injury, he had been recovering for a long time from an ACL tear, leaving some skepticism about whether he can quickly return to his recognized form.
Fenerbahce’s backcourt rotation is extremely deep, and Wilbekin won’t have it easy earning his former standard minutes. Alongside him will be Devon Hall, Brendon Boston Jr, Talen Horton-Tucker, Wade Baldwin and Nando De Colo. Melih Mahmutoglu and Arturs Zagars, also competitors for this position, will miss tomorrow’s game due to injuries. Chris Silva is also on the injury list and will be sidelined for some time.
One of the tomorrow’s standout games, out of nine on the schedule, is scheduled for 8:30 PM and will be played in Spain. Barcelona sits at 16-9, while Fenerbahce, with a 17-7 record, is currently first in the standings.
