Serbian guard Filip Radakovic will continue his NCAA career at Lamar University. The 22-year-old joins the Cardinals for the 2026-27 season after spending the last two years at UT Martin.
The 6-foot-7 guard from Belgrade appeared in 28 games during the 2025-26 campaign. He averaged 9.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game. Radakovic also helped UT Martin reach the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament semifinals.
His size and versatility should strengthen Lamar’s backcourt. Filip Radakovic has experience playing multiple perimeter positions. He is expected to provide scoring, rebounding, and playmaking for the Cardinals.
Before moving to the United States, Radakovic built an impressive resume in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He developed in the Crvena zvezda youth system between 2020 and 2022. During that period, he represented the club’s U18, U19, and second teams.

He later continued his professional development with Mladost Zemun during the 2022-23 season. Radakovic also played for Borac Banja Luka and OKK Beograd in the 2023-24 campaign before leaving for college basketball.
His youth career included several notable achievements. Crvena zvezda finished second in the Serbian Junior League during the 2022 season. The team also reached the league semifinals in both 2021 and 2022.
Radakovic competed in the Adidas Next Generation Tournament Finals in Belgrade in consecutive years. He also helped Crvena zvezda reach the ABA U19 League Finals in 2023.
On the international stage, Radakovic represented Serbia at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary. Serbia captured the bronze medal at the tournament. Radakovic averaged more than eight points per game against the world’s top junior players.
Now, the Serbian guard begins a new chapter with Lamar. The Cardinals are adding an experienced NCAA player with international pedigree. After two productive seasons at UT Martin, Radakovic will look to make an immediate impact in the 2026-27 season while continuing his development at the Division I level.
