Virtus vs Dubai
The game started better for the Italian team, which led 26–13 in the first quarter thanks to Carsen Edwards and Derrick Alston Jr. However, late in the first and early in the second quarter, Dubai went on a 16–0 run led by the outstanding Kenan Kamenjas. Virtus briefly regained a +2 lead, but Dubai responded with another 9–0 run to take a 39–44 halftime advantage.
The second half was completely even, and with 2 minutes left, Vildoza hit his second three-pointer of the fourth quarter to put Virtus ahead by +1. Then Aleksa Avramovic answered with a three-pointer, but with 24 seconds remaining, Luca Vildoza knocked down his third three-pointer of the final quarter. Dubai had a possession to win the game, but Virtus smartly used their two remaining fouls, and to seal his heroic performance, Vildoza stole the ball from Filip Petrusev from behind to secure the victory.
The Argentinian finished with 11 points, 5 assists, and an impressive 4 steals, while another hero was Carsen Edwards with 23 points. James Anderson led Dubai with 16 points and 4 rebounds.
Baskonia vs Milano
Baskonia opened the game better and took the lead right from the start. Led by Matteo Spagnolo, they increased the margin in the second quarter and went into halftime with a +7 advantage.
When it seemed at certain moments that Milano might get back into the game in the second half, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot stepped up with a brilliant third-quarter performance, giving Baskonia a game-high +22 lead. Milano played better in the final quarter and reduced the deficit to -10, but it wasn’t nearly enough to threaten a comeback.
Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot was the top performer with 21 points and 5 rebounds for a PIR of 24, followed by Matteo Spagnolo with 18 points. On the other side, Leandro Bolmaro and Armoni Brooks each had 15 points. Milano is now at an even 7–7 record, while Baskonia has registered its 5th win.
