In the 29th round of the ABA League, Partizan defeated Cedevita Olimpija 81-71 in Ljubljana, securing second place heading into the playoffs.
Partizan, led by an inspired Vanja Marinkovic, started the game with a quick 11-0 run, forcing Zvezdan Mitrovic to call the first timeout. A better offensive rhythm from the home team, thanks to Stewart, brought Cedevita Olimpija back into the game (15:13). Crisis was broken by Sterling Brown, who hit two three-pointers and gave his team a five-point lead before the first break (23:18).
Where Brown left off, Brandon Davies continued in the second quarter, and Partizan quickly restored a double-digit lead (32:20). Cedevita Olimpija managed to get within “two possessions” a few times, but Partizan still ended the first half with a 12-point advantage (44:32).

Robinson and his team started the third quarter with an 11-2 run, bringing the game back to a one-possession margin (48:43). Partizan briefly regained a double-digit lead, but a free throw reduced the home team’s deficit to a single digit (59:50).
Zeljko Obradovic received contributions from a motivated Mike and Sterling Brown in the fourth quarter, with the two quickly pushing the lead back to 12 points (67:55). However, as is often the case in games between Cedevita Olimpija and Partizan, drama ensued once again.
Two unsportsmanlike fouls allowed Ljubljana to make a 10-2 run, cutting the lead to just four points (69:65). A series of mistakes and nervousness from the black-and-whites kept the game alive, but points from Mike and Pokusevski kept Partizan’s head above water.
In the end, Cedevita Olimpija’s offensive game fell short, and Bonga and later Ntilikina punished the mistakes with free throws, securing the victory for Partizan.
Vanja Marinkovic was the top scorer for Partizan with 14 points, while Brown and Tyrique Jones added 12 each. Carlik Jones finished with 10 points.
Lemar was the top scorer for Cedevita Olimpija with 17 points, while Stewart contributed 13.
