Isaac Bonga has officially joined Panathinaikos after leaving Partizan, with the German forward signing a three-year contract in Athens.
Panathinaikos has now officially announced Isaac Bonga as its fourth signing of the summer.

Isaac Bonga reunites with Zeljko Obradovic after Partizan spell
At Panathinaikos, Bonga will once again work under Zeljko Obradovic, a coach who played an important role in his growth during his time at Partizan.
The German forward arrived in Belgrade as a talented player searching for consistency, but he developed into one of the most reliable two-way players in European basketball.
Bonga also created a strong connection with Obradovic during their time together in Serbia, and the opportunity to continue working with the legendary coach was one of the key factors behind his decision to join Panathinaikos.
“I know what to expect. Coach knows me well. I believe I’m an even better player now and ready for the next step in my career. Winning games is important, but winning titles is even more important. We have a coach who will bring all of his incredible experience to the team.
His career and achievements speak for themselves. During my time at Partizan, he taught me some incredibly valuable details of the game. It’s a great opportunity to work with him again,” Bonga said upon his arrival in Athens.

Before Panathinaikos officially announced his arrival, Isaac Bonga shared an emotional farewell message to Partizan and thanked the club and its fans for the experience in Belgrade.
The German forward spent the last two seasons with the Serbian powerhouse, where he became an important part of the team and experienced the unique atmosphere surrounding basketball in Belgrade.
“The last two years have shown me how much passion this game creates around the world and how deeply basketball is connected to people’s culture. I never imagined this kind of energy until I experienced it myself. Along the way, creating bonds that are gonna stick a lifetime.”

Panathinaikos continues ambitious summer rebuild
Panathinaikos has been one of the most active teams in the EuroLeague market this summer, starting a major project under new head coach Zeljko Obradovic.
The Greek powerhouse first brought back Obradovic as head coach, before adding two legendary figures to his coaching staff. Mike Batiste and Dimitris Diamantidis joined the team as assistants, creating one of the most decorated coaching groups in European basketball.
On the court, Panathinaikos immediately strengthened its frontcourt by signing Moustapha Fall from Olympiacos. The French center became the club’s first major addition of the summer after agreeing to a multi-year contract.
The Athens club then completed one of the biggest EuroLeague transactions of the offseason by bringing Guerschon Yabusele back to Europe after his NBA stint. The French forward chose Panathinaikos as his next destination and became one of the most notable moves of the summer.
Panathinaikos continued adding talent with Brancou Badio, who joined from Valencia after the Greek club paid his release clause. Isaac Bonga became the latest addition to Obradovic’s new-look roster, with his arrival completing another important move in an ambitious offseason.
