Isaia Cordinier has officially parted ways with Virtus after spending four seasons with the Italian club, the team confirmed today.
The French swingman was already close to leaving during the season, when Real Madrid made a strong push to acquire him. Although the move didn’t materialize at the time, his departure was only delayed until the summer. In addition to Real Madrid, Monaco has also shown serious interest in the 28-year-old, though his next destination remains undecided.

Cordinier had a productive campaign in the EuroLeague last season, appearing in 34 games and averaging 12 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.
Before joining Virtus, he played for several clubs in France, including Nanterre, Antibes Sharks, Denain Voltaire, and Evreux. During his time in Bologna, Cordinier helped the club win the EuroCup in 2022, Serie A this past season, and back-to-back Italian Supercups in 2022 and 2023.
His exit marks the fifth departure from Virtus this summer, joining Tornike Shengelia, Will Clyburn, Ante Zizic, and veteran Marco Belinelli, who recently retired.
Despite these losses, Virtus has made significant moves on the market, securing high-profile signings such as Carsen Edwards, Luca Vildoza, Derrick Alston Jr., and Alen Smailagic to bolster the roster for the upcoming season
