Power forward Isiaha Mike is the newest addition to Bayern Basketball. The 27-year-old Canadian international arrives in Munich after one season with EuroLeague rival Partizan Belgrade, signing a contract that runs through 2027.
The 2.03-meter forward previously stood out with two strong years in France before joining Partizan, but injuries at the start of last season slowed his progress. Now, Mike is looking for a fresh start and the chance to prove himself once again at the highest European level.
“Moving to Munich is a logical step, because after talking with Coach Gordie it was clear that I bring exactly the skill set that is needed there,” Mike explained. Currently representing Canada at the AmeriCup in Nicaragua, he added:
“After an injury, I was sidelined at the start of last season, and things never went as planned afterward. I could never really be myself: an all-rounder who can shoot and make decisions on his own, who can play both the four and the three, defend in multiple positions on defense, and—above all—bring a lot of energy to the court.”
Bayern sporting director Dragan Tarlac also praised the signing, highlighting Mike’s versatility:
“Isiaha gives our frontcourt great quality and depth. His ability to play multiple positions simply gives us more options on both ends of the floor. And once again, he’s a player whose talent we are absolutely convinced of and who wants to prove himself in Munich. The hunger that Isiaha has—along with our established core and the other new guys like Rokas, Xavier, Kamar, Wenyen, Justinian, and Leon—will shape our new team. That’s why we’re extremely happy that this transfer worked out and that he’s now with us.”

From 2022 to 2024, Mike was a key figure in Bourg-en-Bresse’s rapid rise in both the French league and EuroCup. He averaged 11.8 points in his first season but boosted that to 20 points per game during the LNB Pro A playoffs. In 2024, he was named to the EuroCup’s Top 5 after helping Bourg reach the semifinals, averaging 12.8 points and 4.2 rebounds. His domestic league performance (14.4 ppg in the playoffs) earned him a spot on the All-League First Team.
Partizan signed Mike for their EuroLeague campaign, but the partnership ended after just one season. He averaged 3.9 points in EuroLeague action and contributed 6 points per game across 33 appearances in the Adriatic League, where Partizan captured the championship title.
The Bundesliga will be familiar territory for Mike, who began his professional career with Chemnitz in 2020 after four college years split between Duquesne and Southern Methodist University (12.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg). In his second season in Germany, he boosted his scoring to 16 points per game in the playoffs, including matchups against Bayern.
Mike also made his debut with the Canadian national team this summer, earning a call-up for the FIBA AmeriCup. Looking ahead, he is optimistic about what Bayern can achieve: “The coach has a lot of expertise, and the players follow him and his system. We’re going to play well together—with the guys already here and the new signings, I’m sure of it. In the Bundeliga we will be the team to beat—and in the EuroLeague, we’ll be a challenger.”
