The Los Angeles Clippers have strengthened their backcourt by signing former Denver Nuggets guard Jalen Pickett to a two-way contract.
The move ends Pickett’s free-agent status this offseason and gives the 25-year-old guard another opportunity to establish himself in the NBA.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Pickett agreed to join the Clippers after spending the first part of his NBA career with the Nuggets.
Pickett spent his entire NBA career in Denver
Pickett was selected 32nd overall by the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Draft and has played exclusively for the organization since entering the league.
During his time in Denver, he appeared in 139 NBA games, including 13 playoff appearances, while also making 22 starts.
Throughout his NBA career, Pickett has averaged 4 points, 1.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 38.7 percent from three-point range in fewer than 13 minutes per contest.

Strong shooting season helped Pickett earn new opportunity
Last season, Pickett appeared in 52 games for the Nuggets and showed his value as a reliable perimeter shooter.
He averaged 5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while connecting on 39 percent of his three-point attempts.
With the Clippers, Pickett will look to compete for minutes and provide additional depth in the backcourt.
The two-way contract gives him another chance to continue developing at the NBA level after three seasons with Denver.
