Joan Penarroya has expressed his expectations ahead of the first-round EuroLeague game where Baskonia faces Real Madrid.
The Spanish coach emphasizes that all games in this elite competition must be significant for his team, and he expects the best possible approach from his players.
“To play face to face, to look every opponent in the eye because that’s the only way we can beat anyone. Real Madrid can’t count on one of the best players in Europe, Walter Tavares, and Gabriel Deck, but even without them, they defeated Barcelona. They have their well-defined automatisms, and with Facundo Campazzo, they will be even better,” Joan Penarroya stated, and he emphasized:
“For us, all games must be significant, and we must enter each one with a maximum competitive mindset.”
The match between Baskonia and Real Madrid is scheduled for 20:30 hours.
