Joffrey Lauvergne and Asvel have parted ways after three seasons, as the player officially announced today.
Joffrey Lauvergne’s time with Asvel was marked by numerous injuries, and this season he managed to appear in just 19 EuroLeague games, averaging 11.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest.
He had hinted at his departure about ten days ago, stating that Asvel had shown no interest in keeping him and that he expected to move on this summer. That has now been confirmed, as Lauvergne bid farewell to the club with a message on social media:
“After three years of collaboration with Asvel, it’s time for me to turn the page.
Many thanks to the club for the trust and the moments shared.
I wish Asvel all the best for the future.”
Over the course of his career, before joining Asvel, Joffrey Lauvergne also played for Zalgiris, Fenerbahçe, San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Oklahoma City Thunder, Denver Nuggets, Khimki, Partizan, Valencia, and Chalon.
