Jordan Nwora shared his thoughts ahead of the Crvena zvezda’s upcoming EuroLeague game against Zalgiris, highlighting the need for focus, strong defense, and taking things one game at a time.
Crvena zvezda is preparing for a challenging matchup on the road, aiming to execute their game plan and get another victory against Zalgiris this season.
“We just need to be fully focused on defense and minimize the small mistakes. As I said the other night, they played a great game and made a lot of tough shots. They were simply better than us that night. Now we have to move on. Tomorrow, we face another tough opponent. We just have to turn our attention to the next game”, Jordan Nwora said.
He also stressed the importance of staying composed in a challenging environment and sticking to the team’s game plan:
“We’re going to play in a very tough environment. The first thing is to handle that. Then we need to play our game. It all starts with defense. That’s what we talked about in practice today, defense, running, being a bit more organized. I think it will be fine”, he added.
Looking at the standings, Nigerian guard emphasized the need to focus on their own performance:
“When you look at the table, we’re in a similar situation as them. It’s not about momentum; it’s about each day being a new game, a new tempo. Everything is new. So we go there, day by day, and focus on how we play. We have a great team and we can get the job done. Every EuroLeague game is tough, for us or for them. That’s what makes this league great. Tomorrow is another tough match. Two good teams. You saw last time it was a great game. Now we just have to get into the game, play our game, and hope to come out on top”, he concluded.
The game between Zalgiris and Crvena zvezda will take place on friday at 7pm.
