Juventus vs Zalgiris Preview
Although it did not seem like it until recently, Juventus are playing the most successful season in the club’s history since being founded in 1999. They looked solid in the first part of the season, but then went into a slump at the beginning of February, suffering 11 straight defeats and failing to record a win for more than three months. In the end, they managed to secure a playoff spot and seventh place in the regular season with a record of 12 wins and 20 losses after winning four of their last five games.
They entered the playoffs as clear underdogs, and in their quarterfinal series against Rytas, no one gave them much chance. However, they defied expectations and swept the series 2-0, eliminating a team that had won the FIBA Champions League less than a month earlier. Juventus did not stop there, carrying their good form into the semifinals, where they comfortably defeated Neptunas, a EuroCup participant, 3-1 in the series. Still, it was known that they would face a “mission impossible” in the final, simply lacking the roster quality to seriously challenge a team like Zalgiris. That became evident in the opening game of the series, where they were beaten 107-75. After just ten minutes, it was already clear who would win, as the home team took the first quarter 27-13. From that point on, the lead only grew, and Juventus were never competitive, suffering a heavy defeat. The most efficient player for them was Maxwell Lewis with 18 points, while Paulius Valinskas added 13. Sarunas Beniusis scored 12, and Erikas Venskus had 11. If they want to put up any serious resistance, Juventus will need to play much more aggressively on defense and prevent Zalgiris from dictating the tempo so easily.
On the other side, Zalgiris have had a very strong season. In the EuroLeague, they achieved their main goal of reaching the playoffs, where they put up a solid fight but were ultimately eliminated by Fenerbahce. Domestically, they have been completely dominant throughout the season. They won the Lithuanian Cup in convincing fashion and suffered only one loss in the regular season of the Lithuanian League, back in late October at home against Lietkabelis.
Fans were worried that the EuroLeague quarterfinal loss could disrupt the team and negatively affect their playoff performances, but that did not happen. Zalgiris have still not suffered a single defeat in these playoffs. Not only are they unbeaten, but they have won all six games by double digits. They first swept Jonava 2-0 in the quarterfinals, then continued in the same rhythm in the semifinals, where they gave Lietkabelis no chance, winning 3-0. They also made a strong statement in Game 1 of the final against Juventus, recording the most convincing win of their playoff run with a 32-point margin. The standout performer in that victory was Azuolas Tubelis with 19 points, while Moses Wright added 17. Sylvain Francisco scored 16, and Nigel Williams-Goss had 13. One potential issue moving forward is that both Francisco and Wright are expected to leave the team this summer, and they have been among the most important players in this dominant season. Still, the focus must remain until the end in order to successfully defend the Lithuanian championship title.

Juventus vs Zalgiris Best Betting Tip and Prediction
Simply put, in Game 1 of this final, the difference in quality between these two teams was clearly on display. Zalgiris are determined to go unbeaten through the playoffs and secure another title. They are playing with maximum focus and intent, fully committed to closing out the series as quickly as possible. They are significantly stronger than Juventus on both ends of the floor, and we expect that to show again in this matchup, with Zalgiris winning by a margin larger than the given handicap.
