Khadeen Carrington has officially become the newest player of Hapoel Tel Aviv, signing a three-year contract with the club in a move that came as a surprise, as there had been no previous reports linking the two sides.
The Israeli national team guard joins Hapoel Tel Aviv after spending the previous four seasons with Hapoel Jerusalem, where he established himself as one of the most experienced and reliable players in Israeli basketball.
Carrington becomes another important addition for a Hapoel Tel Aviv team that is preparing for its second consecutive EuroLeague season and continues to build a competitive roster under head coach Dimitris Itoudis.
Carrington arrives after strong EuroCup season
The 30-year-old guard is coming off another productive campaign with Hapoel Jerusalem. During the 2025/26 EuroCup season, Carrington appeared in 17 games and averaged 14.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest.
Known for his scoring ability, physicality and versatility on the perimeter, Carrington has built a reputation as a player capable of creating offense and contributing in different roles.
Before joining Hapoel Jerusalem, he gained extensive European experience, playing for Dijon, Real Betis, Monaco, Ludwigsburg, Limburg United and Mornar.

Carrington excited for new chapter with Hapoel Tel Aviv
Following his arrival, Carrington expressed his excitement about joining Hapoel Tel Aviv and becoming part of the club’s ambitious project.
“I am excited for the next chapter and grateful for the opportunity to join Hapoel after playing against the club in recent years. The club has shown incredible growth in recent years, and I am happy to be part of this journey. I am excited to get started and contribute to more success.”
Hapoel Tel Aviv’s professional director George Hinas highlighted Carrington’s importance in strengthening the Israeli core of the roster.
“We are happy to welcome Khadeen to our family. This is a very important move to strengthen our Israeli core, and he is a player who can play multiple positions. He understands what it means to play for Hapoel Tel Aviv and will undoubtedly help us succeed in domestic competitions and in the EuroLeague.”
Head coach Dimitris Itoudis also welcomed the addition, emphasizing Carrington’s experience and motivation ahead of his EuroLeague debut.
“We are very happy to have Khadeen with us. I spoke with him, and he understands what he can contribute to the team. He has a lot of experience in the Israeli league and is excited to discover the differences between all the leagues he has played in and the EuroLeague. We are happy and I welcome him to the team.”
Hapoel Tel Aviv continues roster construction ahead of EuroLeague return
Carrington becomes only the second official signing of the summer for Hapoel Tel Aviv after the club previously added Amir Coffey from the NBA.
The club is also expected to complete more major additions soon, with Zach LeDay and Tamir Blatt among the names linked with a move to Tel Aviv.
Hapoel Tel Aviv has already secured the future of several important players by extending contracts with Elijah Bryant, Antonio Blakeney, Tai Odiase, Dan Oturu and Ish Wainright.
Meanwhile, several players have already left the club, including Chris Jones, who joined Crvena Zvezda, Yam Madar, who moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv, Kessler Edwards, who signed with Virtus Bologna, as well as Levi Randolph.
