LeBron James, the legendary American basketball player, will continue his career with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Shortly after the news was confirmed by Shams Charania, the renowned NBA insider and ESPN reporter, LeBron addressed the situation on social media platform X and officially put an end to speculation regarding his decision.
LeBron James signed a two-year contract with a player option worth $8 million.
It is clear that LeBron wants to pursue another championship run and capture the fifth NBA title of his career, especially considering that the $8 million figure is nearly equivalent to the veteran minimum.

I thought I was done when the season ended. I wasn't ready to announce it, and I knew I needed some time to really decide, but I was pretty sure I played my last game. I was honest at that last press conference when I said I needed to look at myself and deicide if I still love

Lebron James, one of the best players in NBA history, was a free agent after playing for the Los Angeles Lakers last year. He was heavily favored to join the Miami Heat, with Cleveland and Golden State also in the running.
But in the end, he joined the Sixers, which added Jaylen Brown to a roster that also incluese Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and VJ Edgecombe. That makes for a powerful starting five.
James is 41 years old, but he can still do a lot. Last year in LA, he averaged 20.9 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds.
