We are heading into Round 19 of Liga Endesa, and Basketball Sphere brings you a full report on all injuries and absences across the league.
The information is based on the latest updates from the official Liga Endesa website.
Barcelona: Will Clyburn returned to action last week and logged significant minutes in European competition. Xavi Pascual will have to leave one of the three non-EU players out of the roster. Myles Cale was the player left out last week. Juan Nunez, out with a long-term injury, remains sidelined for the Blaugrana. Kevin Punter got injured against Baskonia in EuroLeague, so it seems as if the team doesn’t want to take any risks with him for Round 19.
Girona: Maxi Fjellerup will remain sidelined for another week. The Argentine shooting guard is in the final stages of his recovery but is still unavailable. Juan Fernandez is also doubtful after spending the week with a minor knock, according to the club.
Manresa: Hugo Benitez is out again after failing to fully recover from his physical issues. With only the final training sessions remaining, Retin Obasohan and Eli Brooks are also doubtful for Sunday. On the positive side, Agustin Ubal returned to the court in European competition and is once again available to coach Diego Ocampo.
Zaragoza: Josh Richardson made his Liga Endesa debut last week but did not play in Thursday’s European competition game. Point guard Isaiah Washington did make his debut and could feature in the next game if the coaching staff decides so. Bojan Dubljevic is progressing well from his hand injury, and his availability will depend on medical clearance. Bell-Haynes is out for the rest of the season, while Emir Kabaca and Joel Soriano were also ruled out last week.
Granada: Lluis Costa will miss the next few weeks due to a muscle injury. The team will also be without Jovan Kljajic, who is expected to return in March if everything goes according to plan, and Elias Valtonen (shoulder). The rest of the squad is available pending final practices.
Gran Canaria: Andrew Albicy, who missed last week’s game with a left thigh hamstring injury, also sat out Wednesday’s European competition game. He is a serious doubt for Sunday’s matchup against Baskonia.
Lleida: Head coach Gerard Encuentra confirmed several injury concerns. “We have some issues in the post positions. Gyorgy Goloman has not trained at all this week. John Shurna had to stop for a couple of days due to discomfort in his adductor and quadriceps. We have also had to manage Cameron Krutwig’s minutes.” Of those, Goloman is particularly doubtful for Sunday’s Catalan derby. Meanwhile, Melvin Ejim could return after missing Lleida’s previous game.
Joventut: Miguel Allen, who has missed recent games with a sprained right ankle, is doubtful for Sunday and will be evaluated in the coming hours. Adam Hanga is virtually ruled out, also due to a sprained right ankle.
Baskonia: Tadas Sedekerskis will remain unavailable, and his participation in the Copa del Rey is considered highly unlikely. Markquis Nowell is also expected to stay sidelined. Coach Paolo Galbiati will need to leave out one non-EU player for the game in Gran Canaria. Trent Forrest was left out last week. Baskonia also have a European competition game this Friday.
Tenerife: Marcelinho Huertas left the Canary Islands derby in European competition with a right foot injury. “We are concerned that the injury could cause him to miss some of the upcoming games,” said Txus Vidorreta. The Brazilian point guard is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game. Rokas Giedraitis did not play in European competition this week but will be available for the game in Burgos.
Andorra: Kyle Kuric is doubtful due to hamstring discomfort. As previously announced, Xavier Castaneda remains out long-term. The rest of the roster will be available to coach Zan Tabak.
Real Madrid: Edy Tavares, who missed the previous two Liga Endesa games, played without issues in both European competition games this week. All players featured in continental action except the injured Theo Maledon. Coach Sergio Scariolo will have to leave one of the three non-EU players out of the squad, with Trey Lyles having been left out last time.

San Pablo Burgos: The team remains without Dani Diez, who is still recovering from plantar fascia surgery. Jermaine Samuels Jr. and Raul Neto trained with some discomfort during the week but are expected to be available for Saturday’s game against Tenerife.
Breogan: All players will be available except Bakary Dibba, who will miss the game due to a muscle injury.
Bilbao: Amar Sylla and Stefan Lazarevic missed Tuesday’s European competition game and are expected to be unavailable.
Murcia: With only final practices remaining, all players are available except Moussa Diagne, who is sidelined with a fractured finger. Coach Sito Alonso stated that the center could return to full practice next week. Kaiser Gates remains out long-term. Howard Sant-Roos missed European competition but will be available.
Unicaja: Alberto Diaz (hamstring) and Killian Tillie (left knee discomfort) are sidelined. “I hope he can rejoin the team next week, but I am not sure,” said Ibon Navarro about Tillie. Regarding Diaz, he confirmed that he is ruled out for the Copa del Rey. Olek Balcerowski finished the European competition game with knee issues and is doubtful after missing practice on Thursday. Justin Cobbs, signed to replace Alberto Diaz, could make his Liga Endesa debut after being registered. David Kravish remains out long-term.
Valencia: Matt Costello will again be unavailable due to ongoing discomfort in his left knee. Brancou Badio (shoulder contusion) and Xabi Lopez-Arostegui (back discomfort) missed Thursday’s European competition game and are doubtful for Sunday.
