Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Zalgiris in Kaunas with a score of 83-65 in the 14th round of the EuroLeague.
From the very start, the game was quite physical, with neither team playing particularly well on offense. However, Maccabi Tel Aviv managed the first quarter better, turning a three-pointer by Deividas Sirvydis into an 8–2 run to take a 22–14 lead. Zalgiris closed the gap to five points in the second quarter, but then a fantastic 10–0 run by Lonnie Walker (23 points) pushed the visitors to a 15-point lead. Iffe Lundberg (10 points) added to the effort near the end of the half, bringing the score to 51–30 in favor of Maccabi Tel Aviv at halftime.
